Right before I made the trek from Northern to Southern California I had to assess the goods in my kitchen. Some things would be perfect car snacks. Read: apples, carrots, trail mix, kombucha. But other things wouldn’t fair so well. Let’s say….ripe bartlett pears? So yesterday morning I gathered the necessary ingredients and got started.
APPLES. PEARS. CINNAMON. Boom.
Peel 2 to 3 apples and pears. Heat a sauce pan on medium-low and place the diced fruit into the pan. Slow cook until desired texture is reached. Sprinkle with cinnamon and voila. Apple-Pear Sauce.
Too easy not to make. Especially if you have some extra fruit lying around. Get creative. It tasted awesome and was a healthy snack for the long car ride!
